Fred Luna, the Deputy Corridor Manager for the Highway 101 improvements being constructed between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, will be providing an update to the current and future HIghway 101 HOV corridor construction, including:

• Highway 101 Corridor Background
• Progress Update and Funding Plan 
• Design Features
• Alternative Delivery Approach for Contstruction

Fred graduated from Cal Poly SLO and worked for 17 years for the Fluor Corporation, on major projects including the Orange County Toll Roads; Project and Program Management in Los Angeles County for Caltrans District 7. Fred has worked for SBCAG for the last 12 years as Manager of Capital Projects in the Measure D and Measure A programs, working closely with Caltrans, local agencies to delivery projects all over Santa Barbara County, from new and improved interchanges, passing lanes, operational and safety improvements.  He has delivered over $250 million in capital projects for SBCAG and participated and led the Program Management Team for SBCAG for the Measure D program which ended in 2010, including project management, financial and strategic planning and engineering oversight. Fred currently serves as the Deputy Corridor Manager for the Highway 101 Corridor improvements working with Caltrans and local agencies on improvements estimated over $500 million covering 10 miles from Santa Barbara to Carpinteria.
